Er vi pliktig overfor livet å gi livet videre?
Som kvinne er jeg bærer av verdens ufødte barn. Slik sett kan jeg se på mitt liv som muligheten for ditt liv. Jeg kan være et annet menneskes mor, skjebne, gud. Dette er en undersøkelse av de grunner som finnes for å la være. Å la være å føre livet videre.
Lydinstallasjonen er basert på boken ”Kaddish for et ufødt barn” av Imre Kertész.
En polyfon installasjon omkring de ufødte barn i verden, der poesi, filosofi og ekte erfaringer om å gi liv eller det å frivillig la være.

Not-Mothers: Er det slik at det å få barn er en naturlig følge av et kjærlighetsmøte? Og i trancendental forstand menneskets forpliktelse overfor livet? Not-Mothers, kvinner som frivillig velger å ikke bli mor, opplever stigmatisering i vårt samfunn. Hvorfor? Er det fordi at barnefrihet fremstår som så provoserende for den heteroseksuelle orden? Er det fordi en voksen kvinne uten barn oppfattes av mange som en ufullendt kvinne? Stigmatiseringen sier noe om den dominerende status som biologien og de reproduktive funksjonene har i konstruksjonen av kjønn i vårt samfunn. Dette er et forsøk på å løfte frem de kvinner som lar sitt barn forbli ufødt.

Are we obliged as living creatures to create new lifes?
As a woman, I am the bearer of the world’s unborn child. Thus, I can look at my life as a possibility for your life. I can be another human being’s mother, fate, god.
This work examining the reasons to refuse. To refuse to give birth.
The soundinstallation is based on the book “Kaddish for an unborn child” by Imre Kertész. A polyphonic installation about the unborn children of the world, where poetry, philosophy and genuine experiences about giving life and to voluntarily refrain.
Not-Mothers: Is it true that having children is a natural consequence of a love meeting? And a trancendental commitment to human life? Not-Mothers or women who voluntarily choose not to become a mother, experiencing stigma in our society. Why? Is it because to not want to have children appears to be so provocative for the heterosexual order? Is it because an adult woman without children is perceived by many as an abortive woman? The stigmatization says something about the dominant status of biology and reproductive functions have in the construction of gender in our society. This is an attempt to give room and voice to the women who let their children remain unborn.
